Bath
The Bath

When in Rome, and when in Japan, the only way to end the day is with a long hot soak in a mineral bath. Most bathing spots in Japan are public but at tabi-tabi you can reserve the bath and choose your bathing partners. You are also welcome to enjoy a local sake or beer while soaking your bones after a day on the mountain.
The original owner of the lodge and builder of this bath modeled this ofuro after his favorite onsen in Japan, Hoshi onsen in Gunma prefecture. Another absolute must visit for onsen afi·cio·na·dos, http://www.houshi-onsen.jp/index.htm.
A 50 minute soak for 2 is ¥1500, a bath for 3 is ¥2000 and 4 is ¥2500.
Please book your bath at the lodge. Locally brewed sake is also available upon request.
